This winter I tried my Grizzly 550 EPS in snowy and icy conditions and it wasn't horrible, but I felt like there's more performance to be gotten out of it. For next season I plan to do more and I'd like to get your opionins on a few things. Should I get snow chains or studdable tires?

Why not consider studdable tires first, are you riding mostly packed snow or deeper, icy trails where chains might give better grip but be more hassle to install and remove often?

studdable tires give you better traction and control, especially on ice. Snow chains can help in deep snow but might be a pain to install and remove frequently

Theyre both right, if you plan to ride a lot in icy or deep snow, investing in studdable tires will likely give you the best overall performance and confidence.
