maintenance tips ?

I'm looking for old grizzly owners to share their thoughts on the protective or preventive measures they wish they would have taken when their grizzliy(s) were still new because right now I'm thinking of wd 4o for my frame but being careful around brakes, struts and greased parts but some people silicone based products are better. any thoughts ?, I'm also debating shock sleeves but I've heard they trap moisture

Oh man, I was kinda thinking wd 40 would do the trick, but now you've got me second guessing. I've heard people swear by silicone sprays too, but honestly, I have no clue which one's actually better long term. I just kinda spray whatever I have lying around and hope for the best.

Silicone sprays seems like a better option than Wd40 fpr rust protection. Just be careful on the brakes. for shock sleeves, they might trap water and dust. I personally skip them since i don't do much of rough rides

Do you have a specific brand that you're using? Any recos?

Shock covers are a good to have. Instead of wd-40, try Corrosion free, a lot better for maintenance.

WD-40 is decent for light protection but you might want to avoid tinkering near the brakes or struts since it can mess with grip and seals. Silicone spray is waaay better for rubber and grease points. The sleeves can definitely trap moisture so best be careful.
